Efficient Documentation and Continuous Monitoring for Numerous Certifications

Gersfelder Metallwaren GmbH (GMW) has become a longstanding connectavo customer and has been synonymous with innovative production solutions for assembly and welding modules, wire and pipe bending parts, and wire parts in the metal industry for over 50 years. As well as at the headquarters in Gersfeld, connectavo is also used at the production site in Romania.

Complete documentation and monitoring is vital for GMW’s numerous ISO certifications – and that’s where connectavo comes in with regard to maintenance.

“For us, digitalization has made things much easier when it comes to our ISO certifications. With connectavo, we always have an overview of the status of our machines and the pending maintenance tasks. This means we can keep track of jobs at any time and can always stay on top of ongoing and completed work,” explains Alexander Traud, maintenance manager.

Thanks to connectavo, GMW is able to resolve reports and faults quickly and easily. This ensures that all problems are reported and processed promptly. This in turn minimizes downtime and means that products are completed on time.

“The scan function in the mobile app is an advantage that we really appreciate. Scanning the QR codes attached to our machines has proved to be a real time-saver,” Traud reports.

In addition to saving time with maintenance, connectavo also prevents avoidable machine downtimes via the spare parts management function. The software automatically notifies GMW when stock levels fall below the minimum level. As a result, the maintenance technician can reorder the parts promptly. This prevents bottlenecks and ensures a seamless production process at GMW.
